New Jersey’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) is a federally funded nutrition and physical activity program. It provides hands-on workshops to encourage people of all ages to make healthy food choices on a limited budget and lead more active lives. SNAP-Ed provides lessons on nutrition, food safety, food resource management and physical activity.
Rutgers is pleased to be one of three partners offering nutrition and physical education as part of New Jersey’s SNAP-Ed program. SNAP-Ed is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture/Food and Nutrition Service (USDA/FNS) through the New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH).
