To address the issue of a lack of job readiness programs, Aspire Youth Development seeks to implement an expansion of the Next Stop Career: A Summer Career Exploration Initiative. The mission of Next Stop Career is to expose students, ages 16-21, to key in-demand industries and careers. We will help participants identify careers that align with their interests and strengths and teach them the essential skills needed to be successful in the workplace. A strengths-based approach will be integrated, and we will ensure all content is culturally competent and individualized. The Initiative will leverage relationships with higher education and local employers to prepare our young, emerging local workforce with exposure to in-demand industry career paths, entry-level soft skills necessary, and career exploration to gain and maintain successful employment.
Eligibility | Programs serve young adults ages 16-24 and currently not enrolled in school. |
