Positive Development is the leading provider of developmental therapy for children with autism. Tailored to a child's unique needs and developmental milestones, our therapy integrates relational connection, empowerment, and sense of safety through play. We support a child's growth, and family, and deliver integrated, family-focused care that's proven to provide lasting results. Each child's care plan is overseen by experts with additional specialists available for other therapies as needed.

Unlike traditional methods that address challenging behaviors without exploring their causes, our in-home, play-based, developmental therapy programs focus on your child’s history, interests, and communication styles. We use a child’s natural curiosity to support development at their own pace. Centered around your child's readiness, our model adapts to their comfort level and encourages sharing experiences they choose, as they’re ready. Our approach to care is heavily focused on bringing parents/caregivers together with their children through organic forms. It is primarily based on coaching and supporting parents to create deep and meaningful interactions with their children through gentle and warm exchanges. This relationship-based framework invites a child to better communicate, learn, problem-solve, and regulate emotions and feelings. In addition, we offer one-to-one support for parents as well as extra support through recommended additional therapies for a child, if needed, based on an initial assessment by a clinician.

At Positive Development, we specialize in Developmental Relationship-Based Interventions (DRBIs). Our focus is on building up an autistic child's developmental foundation – the abilities to self-regulate, navigate sensory challenges, and create meaningful relationships. We're very intentional about building trusting relationships with clients and focusing on what a child naturally finds fun and playful. We encourage family participation because stronger relationships accelerate progress.
