Burlington Township Recreation Department

Our recreation department maintains all of our park and recreation sites throughout the town. Our office is located on Lake Ave., at the Skimmer complex, where youth baseball, softball and street hockey are played.

Located behind the municipal building, Green Acres I offers newly refurbished tennis courts, pavilions available for picnic rentals, and walking trails. Green Acres II, next to the municipal building, is home to our youth football field, soccer fields, and bandstand where our annual Christmas tree lighting is held. Green Acres IV, our largest park, houses our Babe Ruth baseball field, roller hockey court, and soccer game fields.

There are also numerous athletic fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts located throughout our community, as well as our Sylvan Lake swimming facility.

Our programs are run by a mayor-appointed recreation commission. The commission is responsible for the organization, administration, and operation of our recreational activities.

Our normal office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30. The department is normally open two Saturdays per month to accept registrations and equipment returns.  A registration drop box has also been added for your convenience.
